Learning in Community: North Minneapolis

Saturday, September 24, 2022

Explore North Minneapolis.

North Minneapolis is rich in history, culture, and community inspiration. Build your cultural understanding and awareness of the African American community in North Minneapolis. This interactive, in-person experience will include a private tour of the Minnesota African American Heritage Museum and Gallery, stories from community members on the impact of longtime Northside organizations, and samplings of food from local Black-owned restaurants. Participants are encouraged to reflect on the organizations and institutions that have nurtured and inspired them.

This event is a collaboration with the Minnesota African American Heritage Museum and Gallery and the Robert J. Jones Urban Research and Outreach-Engagement Center (UROC).
